Minnesota Law Corporate Institute Winter Market

Please join us at Mondale Hall for the fourth annual Minnesota Law Corporate Institute Winter Market!

This market features former and current Business Law & Entrepreneurship Clinic clients, as well as other small businesses and entrepreneurs who bring treats to the Law School for the last week of classes and gift options to purchase for those looking to do some holiday or winter shopping.

Human Rights Day 2024 with the Human Rights Center and Law Library

Join the Law Library and Human Rights Center to commemorate international human rights day 2024. Underscoring the importance of upholding human rights in our local community and on the global stage, stop by the Law Library for coffee and cookies and to share your hope for advancing human rights in 2025. 

No registration is required to attend, stop by for any amount of time that you are able.

The Road to Qamishli: Chasing Law in a Time of Counter-Terrorism

December 5, 2024, 12:15 to 1:15 pm

Prof Ni Aolain, former UN Special Rapporteur on Counter-Terrorism and Human Rights (2017-2023) will share extracts from her forthcoming book drawing on her work in her UN mandate, with a particular focus on the conflict in Syria, and the counter-terrorism practices of state and non-state actors in North East Syria and their human rights consequences. The presentation will particularly draw on her visit to NE Syria in Summer 2023 and her observations and experiences in this conflict zone. 1 Standard CLE credit will be requested.
