Investing in the Minnesota Difference

Minnesota Law has long been known for academic rigor, expert faculty, and public service. But what sets us apart from other top law schools is combining that excellence with one of the nation's strongest clinical and experiential education programs. That’s the Minnesota Difference: our students don’t just learn to think like a lawyer, but how to act like one, too.

At Minnesota Law, preparing exceptional lawyers means more than mastering legal theory — it means applying that knowledge to make a difference. Our experiential learning programs — from our nationally recognized clinics to the Human Rights Center — give students the opportunity to excel academically while using their skills to make a positive impact in the world.

Last year, Trinity Fritz Lawrence ’26 and Alex Mysler ’26 presented their research, “Reimagining Gender in International Law,” at the American Society of International Law annual meeting under the guidance of Professor Fionnuala Ní Aoláin — a rare opportunity for students to engage with top scholars and practitioners. Through this experience, they not only demonstrated academic excellence but also represented Minnesota Law in advancing human rights and justice on a national stage.
