Planned Gifts

The University of Minnesota Law School is grateful to those individuals who strengthen the Law School for today, tomorrow, and beyond by making a planned gift that supports Minnesota Law students at every stage of their legal education. The following planned gifts were documented from July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025.

Highlighted Planned Gifts

S. Walter ’63 and Paula K. ’76 Richey

Walt and Paula Richey increased their testamentary bequest contributing to their endowed scholarship. Their scholarship is intended to provide assistance to underserved populations, to ensure the rights of all people, and to alleviate poverty.

James V. ’77 and Susan R. Roth

James and Susan Roth made a testamentary bequest to the Law School to contribute to the Weissbrodt Human Rights Fund. They are very involved in the human rights movement and are committed to making sure the Human Rights Center at the Law School continues its mission to advance international human rights through innovative research, teaching, and engagement, a legacy begun by HRC founder David Weissbrodt.
