Computer Labs and Printer Pools

Computer Labs

There is one computer lab available in the Law School located within the Law Library. These computers are available to students 24 hours a day. You must be a law student to use them.

Lab 455, outside of the elevator on the 4th floor, has carrel space and three computers.

Printing

Students can print from lab computers or from their own laptops over the wireless network at the Law School. You must be in the Law School or connected to the VPN client in order to print. There are three sets of printer pools, all of which require a UCard to release printed documents from a Print Release Station located near each set of printers. The Law School uses a general print queue with several 'release stations' around the building. After printing to the Law-Students queue, your job will be held until you visit one of these release stations. At the release station, simply put your UCard close to the card reader to see your jobs and then tap 'Print' on the screen to release a job to one of the printers near that station.

NOTE: All printers are set to automatically duplex (print double-sided) documents, though single-sided printing is also available.

Locations

The Rottschaefer Lounge (Room 75) in the SubPlaza has an accessible printer pool.

Room 144 in the Library has a printer pool.

The computer lab in Room 455 of the Library has an accessible printer pool.

NOTE: Release station printers are set up in pools that balance the workload between them. Print jobs can appear on any of the printers near the release station used, so be sure to check the adjacent printers if you don't see your printout right away.

Printing Limits

Color printing is not available within the Law School.

Individual print jobs must be 100 pages or less per job.

Print jobs stay in the print queue for up to 4 hours.

Scanning

There are several scanner/copiers throughout the Law Library that are available to students 24 hours a day.  You will need a UCard to access them, but scanning is free.  You will also need to provide a USB drive in order to save your scanned documents.
