Michelle Hayes is a Managing Attorney at the Public Defender's Office in Hennepin County. She represents clients charged with all manner of criminal offenses. She also supervises a team of attorneys and support staff who utilize a team defense approach to client-centered representation. She has been a public defender for nearly her entire legal career. Michelle received a B.A. from Macalester College in St. Paul, MN. Following her graduation from the University of Minnesota Law School, she clerked for the Honorable Kim R. Johnson and also spent time working as the Character and Fitness Attorney at the Minnesota Board o Law Examiners.
