Professor Ben Casper Sanchez ’97 leads the highly influential James H. Binger Center for New Americans, a national player in expanding legal services for noncitizens and improving the nation’s immgration laws. The Center won a landmark case in the U.S. Supreme Court, played a vital role in preventing the deportation of 92 Somali men and women, provides outreach to noncitizens throughout the region, and serves hundreds of detained immigrants annually.
