Sarah Bauer is a junior associate at Winthrop & Weinstine, P.A. in the Renewable Energy Development and Construction practice group. Ms. Bauer’s day-to-day work involves representing renewable energy developers and financing parties as they purchase and sell renewable energy tax credits, underwrite and finance renewable energy projects, and negotiate material project agreements. Ms. Bauer also advises clients regarding compliance with state and federal tax-related inquiries applicable to renewable energy projects.

While attending UMN Law, Ms. Bauer clerked for the Civil Division at the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office and the Braaten Law Firm in North Dakota. Her areas of academic focus were energy and environment, land use, and real estate. Ms. Bauer was also active in TORT (Theater of the Relatively Talentless) and served as a Law in Practice Student Instructor.

Prior to law school, Ms. Bauer studied and performed as a classical singer. She currently lives with her spouse, Tim, and their cattle dog, Ziggy, in St. Paul.
