Robert R. Hopper is a highly experienced trial lawyer and one of the leaders in the emerging field of Law and Neuroscience. He is managing partner of his own law practice in Minneapolis. For several years, he has consulted with and co-taught with Professor Francis X. Shen, J.D., Ph.D., at U of MN Law School in the area of Law and Neuroscience. Hopper is a member of the Harvard Massachusetts General Hospital Center for Law, Brain, and Behavior Advisory Board and a member of the Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance Board. Additionally, he is collaborating with a retired University of Minnesota neurosurgeon on a project regarding liability prevention for neurosurgeons.
Robert Hopper is a former member of the Neuroscience Advisory Committee at the Minnesota Medical Foundation at the U of MN. He has also served as an advisor to the University of Tennessee Graduate School at the College of Arts and Sciences and the College of Law regarding a new course in Law & Neuroscience. He is also a former member of the Neuroscience Advisory Committee at the Minnesota Medical Foundation.
In his spare time, Hopper enjoys fly fishing, reading, bird hunting, golf, and thoroughbred racing.
