Matthew A. Morris, LL.M., Esq., is Director of Tax Controversy at Best Buy Co., Inc. Before relocating to Minnesota with his family in July 2024, Matthew practiced law in Boston, Massachusetts for 15 years as a tax controversy and tax planning attorney. He taught State and Local Taxation to graduate students in the M.S.T. (Master of Science in Taxation) and M.S.A. (Master of Science in Accounting) programs at Northeastern University’s D’Amore-McKim School of Business for five semesters (Fall 2016-2019 & 2021). Matthew’s current role at Best Buy involves representation of the company in state and local tax audits, appeals, and litigation across the country.
