Mary Heath is an in-house attorney whose practice focuses on employment law, litigation, internal investigations, and regulatory compliance. In her current role with a global life sciences company, she advises business leaders and human resources professionals on complex employment matters across a multinational workforce, including investigations, litigation strategy, employee relations, and risk management.
Before moving in-house, Mary practiced employment and health law, representing healthcare and life sciences organizations in litigation, regulatory matters, workplace investigations, and business disputes. Her experience spans the intersection of employment law, healthcare regulation, and compliance, and includes extensive legal writing and advocacy before courts, administrative agencies, and other decision-makers.
Mary earned her J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School and is passionate about helping students develop the research, analytical, and persuasive writing skills that are foundational to effective legal practice. She values empathy, clarity, and humor in her teaching and believes that strong legal writing begins with understanding the human dimension of every legal problem.
