Juan Arguello

Juan Arguello is the Assistant Director of Academic and Bar Success at Minnesota Law. In this new role, he is beginning to work closely with students across all class years to support their academic development and professional preparation. In collaboration with Professor Ronning, Juan helps coordinate the Structured Study Group (SSG) program and supports a range of academic and bar preparation workshops. Juan offers one-on-one academic coaching, advising, and assistance with building effective study strategies and preparing for exams.

Prior to joining Minnesota Law, Juan practiced law in Chicago as a litigator, including positions at Jones Day, the National Immigrant Justice Center, and Goldberg Kohn. Juan spent the last few years at Lawrence University in Wisconsin as a second-year dean. Juan holds a B.A. from DePaul University and a J.D. from Harvard Law School where he served as a student attorney in the Veterans Affairs Clinic, co-president of the Armed Forces Association, and a staff editor for the National Security Journal. Prior to law school, Juan served in the Army National Guard as an infantry sergeant.
