John Yanish is a Vice President and the Deputy General Counsel at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis. John joined the Bank in 1995 as a senior attorney and became an officer and Assistant General Counsel in 1999. In addition to his role within the Law Department, John worked for a number of years in management positions within the Reserve Bank, including serving as the Managing Officer for the Financial Services Support Office and later as the officer responsible for information security, compliance and related matters within the Bank’s Information Technology department. Prior to coming to the Federal Reserve, John worked as a private attorney for a Minneapolis-based law firm, practicing in the areas of commercial law and litigation. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota and the University of Minnesota Law School and is a former law clerk at the Minnesota Supreme Court.
