Emily M. Wessels is an adjunct professor in the University of Minnesota Law School Moot Court program, where she teaches IP Moot Court and coaches the IP Moot Court competition team. 

Dr. Wessels received her Pharm.D. degree, magna cum laude, from Drake University and her J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School, where she was a Managing Editor of the Minnesota Law Review. Wessels became an associate with Merchant & Gould P.C. in 2014, specializing in intellectual property and litigation. She joined General Mills in 2019 where she practices as marketing and commercial counsel.

Wessels joined the University of Minnesota Law School as an adjunct professor in 2016. She is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity, a member of the American Bar Association, the University of Minnesota Law School Board of Advisors, the Minnesota Law Review Alumni Advisory Board, and Minnesota Women Lawyers.
