Emily Buchholz '10
Emily Buchholz is Executive Director of the Corporate Institute and Lecturer in Law at the University of Minnesota Law School. She teaches and manages the Business Law Clinic, through which students assist small businesses, startups, entrepreneurs, and nonprofits with a variety of transaction-based legal issues. Buchholz also directs the Corporate Externship Field Placement which allows law students to experience and observe the work of in-house corporate counsel. In addition, she runs the Brief Advice Sessions program, Corporate Institute Practice Scholars program, and is the law school liaison for the J.D./M.B.A. dual degree program.
Prior to joining the University of Minnesota Law School, Buchholz was a partner at Davis Law Office, PLLC, a transactional law firm nestled in the heart of Minneapolis' robust co-working and startup scene. She was also an adjunct professor at William Mitchell College of Law and then Mitchell Hamline School of Law where she co-taught the Business Law Clinic.
Buchholz earned her J.D. magna cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School and her B.A. with Comprehensive Honors from the University of Wisconsin - Madison.
