David Brown was appointed to the Second Judicial District Bench in March of 2020. He is currently assigned to a felony trial caseload and serves as a member of the Minnesota Judicial Council.
Before his appointment, Judge Brown was an Assistant Hennepin County Attorney for over 30 years where he served as a felony trial lawyer, supervisor of the appeals section, and Chief Criminal Deputy. Judge Brown has enjoyed teaching trial practice, evidence, ethics, and appellate law for many years.
