The current presidential administration has passed several executive orders in the past two months, many of them targeting immigrants living within the United States. From the increase in ICE raids, to the detention of individuals in Guantanamo Bay, to attempts to end birthright citizenship. These orders are meant to target Immigrants writ-large and noncitizens particularly in all walks of life.

At the same time, we have seen higher education spaces attacked, with requirements that Universities change their Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion policies, or risk losing federal funds. Noncitizen students are particularly at risk, with the risk of ICE raids on campus, and the attempted deportation of green card holders.

Join Binger Center faculty to explore the scope and impact of the new administration's policies in university spaces as they relate to noncitizens' rights. Panelists will discuss the legal weight of warrants and subpoenas, the rights and risks of being an ally, and First Amendment rights for immigrants and allies to voice concerns on campus.
