2027 Minnesota Law Conference on Experiential Education
Join law school deans, associate and assistant deans, experiential education (ExEd) leaders, and clinicians in Minneapolis for the second Minnesota Law Conference on Experiential Education (MLCEE) as we come together to build community, share best practices, and collaborate on ways to enhance the student experience.
Focusing on the role of ExEd in a modern legal education and targets topics, this event expands on the inaugural 2025 meeting and centers on three forms of legal ExEd: clinics, field placements, and simulation courses.
This event includes breakout as well as plenary sessions, and additional social and networking opportunities for attendees to form and deepen connections within the legal ExEd community.
Sessions include updates on the NextGen bar exam and ABA ExEd credit requirements, a panel of practitioners and judges addressing the preparedness of newly licensed lawyers, a discussion about best practices in the training and oversight of adjunct professors and field supervisors, and a session featuring some of the most innovative programs in ExEd. Based on 2025 attendee feedback, breakout session tracks are focused on simulation courses, the evaluation of student performance in ExEd courses, and the professional impact of legal ExEd.
