Judge Jay Quam is a 1988 graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School who has been a judge on the Fourth Judicial District bench since October 2006. He has been handling a full caseload of serious felony cases since 2013. Before being appointed to the bench, Judge Quam was a shareholder at the Fredrikson & Byron law firm in the civil litigation department.
