Greenwashing 101
The increased consumer demand for environmentally and socially responsible products has led to an increase of more products marked as environmentally responsible. With that has come an increase in greenwashing litigation, claiming many of these market claims are false, inflated or misleading. This panel will look at the ways greenwashing litigation has grown over the past few years, how it has impacted federal policies and guidance, and the current landscape of state and federal greenwashing litigation.

The Road to Qamishli: Chasing Law in a Time of Counter-Terrorism

December 5, 2024, 12:15 to 1:15 pm

Prof Ni Aolain, former UN Special Rapporteur on Counter-Terrorism and Human Rights (2017-2023) will share extracts from her forthcoming book drawing on her work in her UN mandate, with a particular focus on the conflict in Syria, and the counter-terrorism practices of state and non-state actors in North East Syria and their human rights consequences. The presentation will particularly draw on her visit to NE Syria in Summer 2023 and her observations and experiences in this conflict zone. 1 Standard CLE credit will be requested.
