Women at Work

On October 24-25, 2024, the University of Minnesota Law School will be hosting a conference, “Women at Work,” inspired by the new book Fair Shake: Women & The Fight to Build a Just Economy, by Naomi Cahn, June Carbone and Nancy Levit. Conference sessions will feature one with the book’s authors, others directly relating to the book, and still others on topics within the general theme of Women at Work. This conference is highly interdisciplinary, with academics and practitioners from different fields, including law (corporate, employment, human rights, nonprofit, white collar crime), psychology, economics, and cognitive science. Rather than traditional paper presentations, the conference will consist of moderated discussions, interviews, Q and A sessions, and short lectures. Conference proceedings will be published in a special volume of the Minnesota Journal of Law and Inequality.
