Protecting Queer Agency through Asylum Advocacy

November 4, 2024, 12:15 to 1:15 pm

The U.S. asylum process thrives on identifying victims of persecution who are seeking a safe haven in the U.S.  The dehumanizing experience of seeking asylum is often compounded for those seeking asylum because of their queer identity.  Experienced attorneys who have represented LGBTQ+ asylum seekers and clients will share their personal experiences with the asylum process.
