Dean Jenkins Named President of Bates College; Will Conclude Service at Minnesota Law on June 30
Garry W. Jenkins, who has served as dean and William S. Pattee Professor of Law at the University of Minnesota Law School since 2016, has been named the president of Bates College and will depart Minnesota Law on June 30.
Located in Lewiston, Maine, Bates College is one of the premier liberal arts colleges in the nation. Jenkins will be the ninth president of the 168-year-old college.

Minnesota Law's new Racial Justice Law Clinic, led by associate clinical professor Liliana Zaragoza, is highlighted today in the University of Minnesota's newly launched "Building a Better World" series. Ra'Shya Ghee '13 Appointed Minnesota Law's Inaugural Assistant Dean of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Ra'Shya Ghee '13 will join Minnesota Law in mid-August as its assistant dean of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
In this newly created role, Ghee will be part of the Law School’s senior leadership team and will be responsible for leading and aligning the Law School’s critical work in diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. The role will focus on:
