Prof. Jane Kirtley is Quoted in Forbes about the Future of Trump's Media Platform 'Truth Social' Should He Be Convicted on Felony Charges
Professor Jane Kirtley is quoted in Forbes about whether or not former President Trump will have to shut down his social media platform, 'Truth Social' if he is is convicted on felony charges. Kirtley said she doesn't believe that Trump will not likely be forced to shut down the platform.
"Social media platforms are not regulated or licensed—as broadcast TV/radio stations are—by the federal government. And even for those licensed entities, the FCC doesn't absolutely prohibit issuing licenses or renewing them for felons, much less someone who has only been indicted," Kirtley said.
