Prof. Vaaler Quoted in Star Tribune on Gander Mountain's Possible Bankruptcy
The Star Tribune's John Ewoldt interviewed Professor and Mooty Chair in Law & Business Paul M. Vaaler on rumors that the Minnesota-based and privately-held outdoor and sporting equipment retailer, Gander Mountain, may be near bankruptcy. Vaaler speculated on Gander's motives for announcing that it had retained the services of the Houlihan Lokey investment bank, which also provides debt work-out and restructuring services. Gander's announcement may be a signal to creditors to agree to new terms or see Gander seek Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
