Prof. Kirtley Discusses Online Liability and Procedure Issues at Canadian Media Law Conference
Professor Jane Kirtley was a panelist at the annual Ad IDEM/CMLA (Canadian Media Lawyers Association) conference in Vancouver. Kirtley appeared on the panel "Online Liability and Procedure Issues" and discussed U.S. legal developments involving liability for third party content, unmasking anonymous posters, and issues surrounding crossborder publication. She also prepared a short paper, "Ten Notable Developments in U.S. Media Law 2012-13," which she summarized during the presentations on "The Year in Media Law."
