Prof. McGeveran Discusses SOPA and PIPA Bills
Professor William McGeveran, an expert on intellectual property and Internet law, spoke to several media outlets about the controversial Stop Online Piracy Act and Protect IP Act, measures aimed at preventing copyright and trademark infringement by offshore web sites. Online protests last week forced congressional leaders to delay consideration of both bills. McGeveran was a guest on an episode of Minnesota Public Radio's Midmorning, discussing the bills, and was interviewed for evening newscasts on WCCO-TV and KSTP-TV. He also wrote online commentaries about the legislation in Capital New York and The Guardian.
