Kirtley Comments on Bizarre Sex Case

Professor Jane Kirtley said it was a "pretty bizarre chapter in a bizarre case." She was referring to the child porn trial of R&B superstar R. Kelly, and the fact that Chicago Sun-Times music critic Jim DeRogatis (who broke the story when he passed along a tape of Kelly having sex with his "goddaughter") has been ordered to testify for the defense about how he received the tape and what he did with it before turning it over to the police. Kirtley added, "The message that this sends journalists who cover these sorts of stories is that they do so at their own risk."
