Support Our Work
Your contribution makes the Human Rights Center’s work possible.
We rely on support from alumni and friends to carry out the Human Rights Center’s mission: to understand pressing challenges, train future lawyers to defend human rights, and improve law, policy, and practice.

Law School Human Rights Center Fund
This general fund supports the ongoing work of the Human Rights Center: public trainings and events, research and outreach, student support, and our core operations. We rely on annual donations to this fund to be able to carry out our expansive mission each year.

Weissbrodt Human Rights Fund
Prof. David S. Weissbrodt founded the Human Rights Center in 1988. Over his storied career, David has supported, trained, and inspired generations of students, faculty, and human rights defenders—in the Twin Cities and around the globe. A gift to the Weissbrodt Human Rights Fund, established in 2020, honors his tremendous impact and enables the Center to continue his legacy of Minnesota leadership in human rights.

Human Rights Center Fellowship Fund
Support students with a gift to the Human Rights Center’s Summer Fellowship Program. A cornerstone of the Center’s work since 1991, your gift to this program supports competitive fellowship awards for students to take prestigious but otherwise unpaid summer placements in the field of human rights and international law, making these opportunities more accessible to all students.
