Todd Hartman is currently Executive Vice President, General Counsel & Chief Risk Officer at Best Buy Co., Inc., where he also serves as Corporate Secretary and Chair of the Best Buy Foundation. Prior to his current role, he served in various executive positions at Best Buy, including creating the Risk & Compliance capability as the company's first Chief Risk & Compliance officer. Prior to joining Best Buy in 2006, Mr. Hartman was a partner with the law firm of Robins Kaplan in Minneapolis and was an associate in the telecommunications group in the Washington, DC office of Willkie Farr & Gallagher. Mr. Hartman graduated from Harvard Law School, cum laude, and completed his undergraduate studies at Northwestern University. He has previously been on the adjunct faculty at the University of St. Thomas and published numerous articles and lectures on the intersection of law and technology and the role of risk and compliance in corporate governance.
