Prof. Painter Quoted in Washington Times on Alleged Hatch Act Violations at U.S. Consumer Protection Board
Professor Richard Painter was quoted in a Washington Times article reporting multiple allegations of political activity violating the Hatch Act on the part of employees of the U.S. Consumer Protection Board that was established under the Dodd-Frank Act of 2010. Painter observed that Hatch Act cases will continue to surface without faster and tougher enforcement. "If they don't crack down, we're going to get a lot more, whether the Democrats or Republicans are in charge, it doesn't matter."
