Elizabeth Thompson is an adjunct professor teaching Interviewing, Counseling and Negotiation at the University of Minnesota since 2007. She received her Bachelor of Science with Distinction from the University of Minnesota and her J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law.

Thompson has experience in both Civil and Criminal Law, including Employment Law and Disability Law. She is a Rule 114 Qualified Neutral in the State of Minnesota. She teaches the Employment Discrimination Mediation Representation Clinic at Hamline University School of Law. Additionally, she served as a Hearing Review Officer to conduct appellate review of Special Education Due Process Hearings for the Minnesota Department of Education, is past Director of the Minnesota Advocacy Institute and is co- director of Medical and Legal Expert Resources. She is a volunteer attorney with Children's Law Center.
