Learning Outcomes
Graduates of the M.S. in Patent Law program will thoroughly understand the science behind patents, the law that secures them, and the techniques to manage innovation and maximize the value of resulting patents, and the practice of filing patents. Students will also create a portfolio of practice-based work, including drafting patent applications, drafting license agreements, presenting patent strategies, and presenting opportunities for innovation. Graduates of the program will have a high-quality portfolio of work to show prospective employers. Additionally, students will gain the knowledge and preparation necessary to take the USPTO Patent Bar Exam though the program and a provided Patent Bar Studying Course.
