Prof. Alan Rozenshtein Quoted in the Sydney Morning Herald About the Colorado Supreme Court Decision Barring Trump from Presidential Ballot
Professor Alan Rozenshtein was quoted in the Sydney Morning Herald about the Colorado Supreme Court’s ruling that bars Donald Trump from appearing on the state’s Republican presidential primary ballot. The court ruled that Section 3 of the U.S. Constitution’s 14th Amendment disqualifies Trump from holding office. Professor Rozenshtein noted that while Trump is also facing several other criminal and civil charges, this case is about his eligibility to hold office. “In one sense, it’s the least important of the cases; it doesn’t threaten his finances or his liberty. On the other hand, from the perspective of American democracy, it’s the most important.”
