Prof. Fionnuala Ní Aoláin Interviewed by Sky News Australia on Australia's Repatriation of Syrian Families

Professor Fionnuala Ní Aoláin was recently interviewed by Sky News Australia on the Australian government's efforts to repatriate Syrian families. Opponents of the effort cite security concerns over bringing individuals with ties to ISIS into Australia. In response to such claims, Professor Ní Aoláin stated, "I have spoken at length with the intelligence and security communities in Australia, and I am 100% sure that all of the security measures that are needed are being put in place." While they may have family members who have committed acts of terrorism, she asserted that in fact, "many of these children are victims of terrorism."
