Prof. Parisi Honored for Lifetime Achievement in Law and Economics
Francesco Parisi, Oppenheimer Wolff and Donnelly Professor of Law, received the prestigious EALE Award for lifetime achievement from the European Association of Law and Economics.
The association grants the award “for significant contributions to the field of Law and Economics, in particular to the development of this scientific movement in Europe.”
Parisi is only the third scholar from a U.S. institution to be recognized with this award. The previous two recipients from U.S. universities were Robert Cooter (University of California, Berkeley) in 2011 and Guido Calabresi (Yale University) in 2004.
Parisi has authored and edited 20 books and published more than 250 papers in peer-reviewed journals. He is the editor-in-chief of the Review of Law and Economics.
