Investment Management Law
This course will cover policy & regulation governing pooled investment vehicles and their managers. We will engage in a close study of the Investment Company Act of 1940 and its companion statute, the Investment Advisers Act of 1940. The primary focus will be the regulation of mutual funds, but attention will also be given to alternative investment vehicles, such as hedge funds, private equity funds and exchange-traded funds.
