Professor Ilan Wurman Appointed Julius E. Davis Professor of Law
Ilan Wurman, who joined the Law School this fall as an associate professor of law, has been named the Julius E. Davis Professor of Law. Before joining Minnesota Law, he was an associate professor of law at the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. He teaches and writes in the areas of administrative law and constitutional law. He is the author of A Debt Against the Living: An Introduction to Originalism (Cambridge 2017) and The Second Founding: An Introduction to the Fourteenth Amendment (Cambridge 2020), as well as numerous journal articles and a casebook. His next book, The Constitution of 1789: An Introduction, is forthcoming from Cambridge University Press.
The Julius E. Davis Professor of Law is a limited-term professorship that is typically granted to mid-career faculty for one to two years.
