Prof. Charlotte Garden Quoted by Bloomberg Law on National Labor Relations Board's Call for Restriction on Employee Monitoring

Professor Charlotte Garden was recently quoted by Bloomberg Law on theĀ National Labor Relations Board's recent callĀ for a new legal standard to curb employers monitoring their employees, particularly in ways that may interfere with workers organizing with each other for mutual benefits and aid. If the employer insists on monitoring their employees, the NLRB is pushing for them to be required to disclose said monitoring to their employees. When discussing the implications of that kind of requirement, Professor Garden shared that ā€œThereā€™s always a risk with any disclosure rule that the disclosure will happen in such a cursory way that employees donā€™t take it inā€”imagine a disclosure shuffled in with all the other onboarding paperwork.ā€
