Prof. Fionnuala Ní Aoláin Quoted in Reuters about French Mosque Closures
Professor Fionnuala Ní Aoláin, United Nations Special Rapporteur on the promotion and protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms while countering terrorism, was quoted in Reuters about France's closure of four mosques. France is accused of using secretive evidence to close the mosques and of creating procedures that can't be overturned in court. “The flirtation with secretive evidence is in itself worrying, but it also breaches provisions in international treaties," Ní Aoláin says.
