Prof. Painter’s New York Times Op-Ed Urges Clinton Family to Separate From Clinton Foundation if Clinton Wins Presidency

In his third New York Times op-ed in 2016, Professor Richard W. Painter writes that to avoid the appearance of impropriety and favoritism toward donors, the Clinton family should promise to separate all family members from the Clinton Foundation if Hillary Clinton is elected president. Prof. Painter also observed that favoritism toward political donors is pervasive in Washington, and has a greater corrupting influence than alleged favoritism toward a single charitable foundation.
