Prof. Painter Quoted by Several Media Outlets on Donald Trump's Financial Conflicts of Interest

In The Washington Post, CNN, Politico, and WNYC News, Professor Richard Painter put forward that Donald Trump's real estate holdings are heavily indebted to banks and other financial institutions, putting him in a potentially awkward position with respect to regulating credit markets and the financial services industry. He also pointed out that presidents are not subject to the conflict of interest rules that apply to other executive branch officials, a "fatal flaw" in government ethics law that dates back to adoption of the Constitution.
