Rising 2Ls and 3Ls Share Their Varied Summer Career Experiences

Six Minnesota Law students recently shared their perspectives on their diverse summer career experiences, which ranged from working at a big law firm, to providing legal assistance to potato farmers in rural Maine, to interning at federal agencies such as the FCC and SEC, to performing corporate work for a major streaming entertainment network.

Prof. Orfield’s Minnesota Law Roots Stretch Back Over a Century

Professor Myron Orfield's connection to Minnesota Law started over a century ago when his great uncle, Matthias Orfield, attended the law school, graduating in 1912. Rachel Hughey ’03 Appointed to 4th Judicial District Court

Rachel Clark Hughey 03 has been appointed to the bench of Minnesota’s Fourth Judicial District.

“I am proud to appoint Ms. Hughey to the Fourth Judicial District bench,” said Governor Tim Walz. “She is an accomplished lawyer who brings extensive legal and courtroom experience and devotion to public service. Ms. Hughey will be an outstanding addition to the bench.”
