Professor Alan Rozenshtein, a former U.S. Justice Department official, was interviewed by the New York Times regarding Donald Trump’s request to have charges thrown out that he conspired to overturn the 2020 election by claiming immunity. Rozenshtein said the question facing the judge is whether to accept the attempt to reframe the accusations as presidential acts. “He will lose,” Rozenshtein said. “But he is making the correct conceptual argument.”

Professor Alan Rozenshtein was interviewed on the Public Policy This Week to discuss some of the most interesting cases the Supreme Court has agreed to hear in this term. Those cases could impact Congressional regulatory power, the viability of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (and possibly the Federal Reserve Bank), and 2nd Amendment rights for those convicted of domestic abuse.
