Angela Bortel is the founder and managing attorney of The Bortel Firm, LLC, in Minneapolis, MN. She has enjoyed wide-ranging achievements in private practice, including successfully arguing before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Ms. Bortel also has a deep commitment to public service, as demonstrated by her involvement with non-profit human rights organizations in the United States and the Russian Federation. She received her juris doctorate from the University of California, Berkeley. As a U.S. State Department/IREX Young Leadership Fellow, Ms. Bortel also attended Moscow State University. Prior to that, she completed her bachelor’s degree at Kalamazoo College in Michigan. She also enjoys spending time with her family, especially her 2 kids and wonder pup Sasha.
