Prof. Matthew Bodie Interviewed in Bloomberg Law about Wells Fargo Expansion of Labor Relations Team in Response to Union Campaign
Professor Matthew Bodie was interviewed in an article in Bloomberg Law about Wells Fargo's expansion of its labor relations team during an historic unionizing effort—the first at a big bank.
Bloomberg Law reports, "The San Francisco-based company on June 20 posted an opening on its internal job board for a newly created labor relations director position. The director would report to Gerri Parker, Wells Fargo’s head employee relations, risk and regulatory governance executive, and have a team of five to seven people, according to the posting."
Matthew Bodie, who is the Robins Kaplan Professor of Law and also a former National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) attorney said, “I do think it’s an indication that Wells Fargo is taking the potential for workers to successfully mount a union campaign seriously."
