Prof. Vaaler Quoted By Twin Cities Business on Corporate Campaign Contributions

Professor Paul Vaaler recently spoke with Twin Cities Business on the topic of corporate campaign contributions in light of a flurry of announcements by companies of reductions in such contributions after the storming of the Capitol earlier this month. 

"What corporations are trying to buy is access,” Vaaler said. “It’s less about ideology, and more about issues.” For some companies, that could mean donating to a candidate that supports tax changes that are more favorable to their business.
