Prof. Vaaler Comments on Migrant Entrepreneurship Trends in Twin Cities and U.S.

Professor Paul Vaaler was interviewed by Star Tribune business columnist Lee Schafer on migrant entrepreneurship trends in the Twin Cities and elsewhere in the United States. Vaaler noted a long history of newly arrived migrant groups settling into geographically compact, ethnic "enclaves" and building small businesses there, first to serve fellow migrants and later the broader Twin Cities community. Vaaler is a leading academic researcher on migrant remittance and entrepreneurship trends, and has served as an advisor on such trends to the World Bank.
