Prof. Carbone Speaks on WCCO Radio on Women Waiting to Get Married or Even Raising Kids Alone

Professor June Carbone was interviewed on WCCO Radio's The John Hines Show. Carbone spoke about her new book, with Naomi Cahn, Marriage Markets: How Inequality is Remaking the American Family. The interview focused, in particular, on why so many women do not marry the fathers of their children. Carbone explained that, legally, marriage is not a good deal for women paired with unreliable men. She also explained how a changing economy has produced an elite group that is more marriage focused and a middle group moving away from marriage. Click here to listen to the interview.
