Prof. Moriearty Quoted in Minnesota Lawyer on Juvenile Life Without Parole

Professor Perry Moriearty was interviewed for and quoted in two Minnesota Lawyer articles regarding the sentencing of juvenile defendants. In a Feb. 10 cover story, Moriearty discussed legislation that will be proposed later in February to amend Minnesota's first degree murder sentencing statute and bring it into compliance with the U.S. Supreme Court's 2012 decision in Miller v. Alabama. In the Jan. 13 issue, Moriearty commented on the spate of recent state supreme court and federal court decisions on Miller v. Alabama's retroactive application.
