Prof. Schwarcz Testifies Before U.S. Senate Committee

Professor Daniel Schwarcz testified before the United States Senate Subcommittee on Securities, Insurance and Investment regarding "Emerging Issues in Insurance Regulation." Schwarcz's testimony emphasized that state insurance regulation is deficient in promoting transparent insurance markets, both in terms of empowering consumers to choose among competing carriers and in terms of allowing market intermediaries to police regulators and carriers.
